Initiate the printing process from your application by selecting 'Print,' which will open the print dialog box. If necessary, click on 'Print Options' or 'Options' to access a window resembling the provided screenshot. Once there, choose a Ricoh printer from the list, and then click on the 'Properties' button, typically found to the right of the printer selection area.

Step 2: Click the drop down for print job type

Located slightly to the right of the center and about two-thirds down the interface, you'll find a drop-down menu for selecting the type of print job. Next to this menu, there's a 'Details' button. Click on the drop-down menu, which is initially set to 'Normal Print,' and choose 'Locked Print.' Then, proceed by clicking the 'Details' button adjacent to the drop-down.

Note: Alternatively, you can select 'Hold Print' if you wish to send a print job that does not require security measures. This option functions similarly to 'Locked Print,' but it does not necessitate a password or PIN for printing the document at the printer."

Step 3: Set User ID and password

The details window presents a drop-down menu and two text fields. First, click on the drop-down menu and select 'Windows Login Name.' This action will automatically fill in the upper text field and make it non-editable. Then, in the lower text field, input a numeric password. After entering the password, click 'OK' to confirm. This password will be essential for selecting and printing your job at the printer, as the print job will only be released upon its entry.

Step 4: Select the Printer Function on the printer
