How to add a user code for Ricoh printers (Windows 11 and Mac)

Certain RICOH devices demand a user code before they’ll allow you to send a job. Even if you install the printer driver and see it listed as an available printer on your PC or Mac, it won’t actually print unless you supply the correct user code.
Please note: You must already be registered in the printer’s Address Book. If this is your first time using that RICOH printer, reach out to your administrator or service provider to have your code added.

Windows: Adding a Ricoh user code
Right-click the Windows start menu button
Click "Settings".
Click "Printers & Scanners" on the left navigation pane.
Click the desired printer and click "Manage".

Click "Printing preferences".

Click the "Basic" tab at the top.
Click "User Code Setting".

Enter your User Code in the User Code field. You can obtain this number from your supervisor or MFP manager.

Click "OK"
Click "APPLY" then "OK"
Close the "Printers & Scanners" window
Mac OS / OSX : Adding a Ricoh user code
These steps & visual appearance can vary depending on the application you are printing from.
Open a document to print on the computer and enter the print menu (as if you were about to print the document).
Display the setting screen.
Select "Job Log"
Click "Enable User Code"
Enter your (USER CODE) in the User Code field. You can obtain this number from your supervisor or MFP manager.
In the "Presets" field, you can choose "save current settings as preset" to retain the user code setting.
Click "Print"
